The Josephine Bedding Collection

Joespehine-Bedspread-Set

I wanted to touch upon some solid bedding sets, so we can discuss how you can play with solids in your bedroom and the amount of creativity and flexibility in design that they give you. I chose the Josephine collection because I like the quality of the quilt. It has a diamond center and is completed with floral stitching. The set covers a range of colors, dark chocolate, faded denim blue, red and sage. This gives you a nice range to play with for your room knowing that the feel and quality of stitching is distinctive. So with the solids I like tinkering with contrasting pillows both in a plain contrast and in patterned designs that complement the bedding. The great part is you can usually find odd pillows without the bedding at stores and online for a discounted price. I believe it is cost effective to select plains and unique because you can create your own designer look. If I select the dark chocolate I would go with deep cream sheets and a couple of small cream colored pillows. I would then look for a large floral sham cover with chocolate and cream. You can keep to the two tone contrast look, or add a neutral in the middle with beige curtains or floral. If you have a lighter carpet or wood, then the dark chocolate bed cover will stand out really well also.

The Josephine Collection is really well priced and a little less in cost than some of the heavier pattern quilts. If you have a lot of pattern in your bedroom furnishings such as curtains and pillows, picking a solid bedspread is a great balancing idea. Josephine collection ion starts at $120 with free shipping at Furniutreopia.com

The Mavern Bedding Collection

Maven-Bedspread-Set

I would like to touch upon some bedding sets this coming week. I also wanted to give you some of my picks to match the bedroom furniture I talked about the past few days. The Mavern bedding set is a new line which is stitched in a vermicelli stitch. It is also reversible to a co-coordinating color. I am a big fan of reversible quilts and bed spreads as you get two looks for the same price and can inexpensively change up the look and feel of your room. I really like large floral and the black, white, grey combination for a great summer look. I also chose this set as I think it works great with the White Cottage sand furniture from yesterday’s blog post. The set is available in the complete range of sizes and has an oversized quilt for better coverage. There are two shams with each set, except the twin which has one sham. Click here for the perfect addition to you bedroom.
