Changing Seasons Changing Rooms
Dining Room Tips
As we come up to Fall I wanted to talk more about new colors and looks for the season. I also wanted to touch upon some great money saving tips to change the look of your room without buying all new furnishings and thinking it is impossible to change the mood of the house every season.
So I thought I would take a room at a time and give you some of my thoughts.
The first room I picked was the dining or kitchen area. The biggest changes in household as we enter the fall is some of the meals we cook. I start thinking of warm hearty meals with soup and grilled cheese or pot pies. I am sure everyone has their family or personal favorites. Accessorizing dining table ware can be relatively cheap, changing out the table mats and napkins. Usually I find the best deals at the end of a season if I am really looking for bargains and can hold on to them for the next year. Here are some tips for accessorizing without breaking the bank:
Tip 1: Slipcovers for chair are a great way to quickly change the mood of your room. Larger pieces of furniture are not something you want to change as often but chair covers can change the look and feel of your dining area for the change of season. We have a great selection of well priced slipcovers for your chairs.
Tip 2: Changing a rug in your family room or dining area can also add a wealth of change. By using the high traffic, easy wipe, durable rugs in different tones, you can pick out a couple of options which are inexpensive but can help make a difference. We have a great selection of indoor and outdoor rugs that can help you change the feel of your room without the expense.
Tip 3: Changing the place mats, runners and dining table covers is an easy way to give a bright new season look to your dining area. Great and if you look out for the bargains it can be fairly low cost.
Tip 4: I always like to keep neutral colors for the window treatments as these can accessorize with seasonal colors very easily. Whether you have blinds or curtains you can change the mood of the room with some long drop downs or silk look netting to wrap around. Choosing a dark autumn brown or deep orange would be a great way to add the right character to your room.
I hope that was helpful and maybe gives you some ideas you didn’t consider could be so inexpensive. I can’t wait until the next time for more cost saving style enhancing tips for your home. (vrg5j4m7wt)
